Being a virtual traveller is interesting in this digital age. To ‘book’ a ticket on the Eurostar to Calais, I downloaded the Eurostar app to my iPhone and could get a ticket this afternoon. A ‘walk on’ passenger can get a ticket on most trains, but I’m ‘virtually’ taking my Nissan Qashqai diesel. I may need to sleep in the car if I can’t get a room!
